Server outage today 07 October 2005
What happened ?
I did some cleaning up last week to make hard disk space for our uc backup system as our previous backup system only backups for the GC game, so I have included UC to the scheduled daily backup. I transferred some 20 Gb worth of old data over to another server to make room for things, however I forgot to delete them after moving the data (my mistake). Now after 1 week has passed the automated backup has eaten up all the available space and thus causing some players to encounter a `database full` or `no available space` error because the server hard disk was full starting from around 7.00 am to 8.00 am today.
So now what ?
Everyone gets +10 btc and +20 regalo artifacts for the inconvenience (I was trying to find an excuse to give everyone artifacts again). I'll also have to get more sleep so I won't make such silly mistakes :(
