UC Update Notice 24 July 2005
Updated 2005-07-29 Debt bug fixed. If you have negative amount of raw material you will be penaltelized by the system by $5 for each raw material that you do not have. Those that finished Terran Act 2 Mission 7 with out sufficient raw material will find their account dropping into debt. Everyone that has been effected (or maybe effected by this) is given $ 0.5 to 1 billion (minimum) as compensation for the inconvinience caused. Pr & Ship bug fixed. Sometimes while attacking/defending you may observe your Pr, Ships in fleet not being calculated properly (occurs 1 in 5,000 battles). Final UC Update UC has been through many minor update since Mar 2005. The graphical update will be the last `code` related update for UC for ver 1.07 Warning Everyone will get special Damage Protection during the update. The game & server is expected to be unstable for a couple of days, so hope everyone will be patient and to bear with us. Please report any problems/errors to info[a]gamestotal.com with as much detail as possible so we can fix it. Viral & Collective are effected, viral gets un-reverse engineer allowing them to reverse engineer a set of ships if they wish to change. both rate gets a number of free pcc What has changed ? Assign & Free planets The buttons has been renamed to make it easier to understand. `Assign planets` now assign planets, and `free up planets` now unassign planets. its opposite of what it used to be. Collective Ship build rate increased; captured ships for collective Upkeep = Pr/1.1; +20 pcc Viral Bulding non-viral & neutral ship cost reduced to +50%; Ships Upkeep = Pr/1.2; All viral gets un-reverse engineer project; +40 pcc Un-Reverse Engineer technology This allows the Viral race to re-select what ships they want to be able to reverse engineer. Given out by missions or server event only New planetary systems Some new systems have been added. This will be special alien class systems. Special alien class system = only get it via special events or mission Market Added a `repeat last` that will repeat your last buy/sell making it easier to perform repeated buy/sell orders The main market page shows slightly delayed information, so sometimes when you click on it the supplies you wish to buy may have already been bought. The main market page now shows in real-time for paid-account holders Tribute You can now give credits or food to other players restricted to 3x a day and only to your lord/vassal or federation members. We are monitoring the game to see if this may unbalance the game and may remove this feature if it does. Rank For paid-account holders, `rank near me` now shows the previous 20 and next 20 when you click on it saving you time to click on previous/next button Damage Protection Real-Time DP extended from 24 hours to 30 hours Build ship protection When enabled it will give you a prompt whenever you get attacked. Building ships bring you out of Damage Protection, therefore this is useful to ensure you do not build ships after getting attacked so you can drop into Damage Protection. We have included an option to permanently disable this feature for more aggressive or veteran players JsClient Interface This new interface has more graphical, sound & music support. It currently work on selected browsers, we are still working to expand the support to other browsers. JsClient will make the game look more like a CD Based Pc game rather than a Html interface. We call it JsClient because it is run on Cf/Js/Dhtml combo rather than plain Html. We strongly encourage players to download the client for non-blurry pictures and for sound/music effects. JsClient is optimized for 1024 resolution on Firefox & Internet Explorer browser. If you faced any problems or dont like the new interface please use the old interface by selecting `Load game in Html` Various bug fixes or improvements - Improve overall outlook for Intel page, added medals & vassals - Improve overall game loading by 10-20% - PM box only blinks 60 seconds after you get a new PM, we have reduced this delay to 5 seconds - Pr doesnt refresh when you get attack, or when you send reinforcements (occurs 1 out of 10,000 battles) Note New Upkeep : Collective and viral upkeep has been changed. All ships captured or reversed engineered will have a standard upkeep calculated as Pr/1.1 or 1.2 (for viral). So lets assume the ships captured has 1,000 Pr, then Upkeep = 1,000 / 1.1 = $909. pcc = planetary cores, gives you 500-3000 planes on all systems per core Whats next ? Game Admins is currently working on the missions for UC, so its an on going process. GC update, porting GC to ver 1.07 . GC is not going to be like UC, porting = moving the game engine only.
