Do not cheat ! Many cheaters has been caught 07 March 2004
To ensure fairness and curb cheating, we have taken many stern action against many cheaters. Against this is not the first time we have taken action against cheaters. We constantly take action against cheaters, so do know that it is occuring. Not seeing players being caught doesn`t mean we are not punishing, suspending and banning cheaters.
High risk groups includes if there is more than 1 person sharing or accounts on 1 PC, group of friends playing or those in a federation.
What is cheating ?
A dishonorable way of playing and to gain unfair advantage in the game by:-
1. Asking someone to put you in DP so you will not lose colonies or get attacked by someone
2. Transferring of planets/colonies from one account to another on purpose
3. Transferring of artifacts from one account to another on purpose
4. Harassing other federation or players by having multiple accounts to attack and throw artifacts at them (applicable only if you are using accounts created to cheat or other forms of cheating is found)
5. Exploiting any bugs or loopholes in the system to gain an unfair advantage
Also suggest using common sense to understand what is cheating and what is not. The main idea is to create a fair game environment, this is not Law 101 where everything is word for word.
What can I do if I am cheating
If you are having more than 1 account and cheating, to advoid being suspended
1. Restart (restart will clear your record)
2. Send a PM to the moderators to email to abuse@spacefed.com to suspend or remove all your other accounts, leaving only 1
3. Suggest including words as `Sorry, I will never do it again`
If you are exploiting a bug for personal gain, please report it to info@spacefed.com or send a PM to one of the guide or moderators to ask if it is legal to do so (suggest using commons sense).
Why are we catching cheaters ?
We have personally observed many games drop dead cause of rampant cheating. Cheating takes away the fun for both the cheaters and the one which plays fair (losing side for both ends). Cheaters gets bored cause it will get too easy to play, fair players will feel very disappointed.
Thanks to our updated new admin functions (ver 1.06, yes we have part of 1.06 up and currently testing it) the system will automatically scan all logs to find prove of cheating. Once this prove has been obtain then there is not much use for offenders to argue as the prove is very clear. Also to those offenders, `I do not know you can't have multiple accounts` and other excuses will not be entertained.
Few comments from the creator
I would like to personally thank all the admin/mods and other players who have helped made this a fairer game. I am a person who personally believe that top players should be there cause they are good and experience players not cheaters.
It is a clear fact that there is no way we can totally 100% eradicate all cheaters however it is our responsibility to keep that number as low as possible.
Notes:
someone defined as someone in your federation, any one who is sharing the same PC or IP address as you, or fake accounts created by you (or your friends, fed members, etc)
